"Books are best friends" tote bag / Sacosa "Cartile sunt cele mai bune prietene"

If there is to choose one of my favourite creations, this book bag which I sewed couple of days ago is one of my dearest. A perfect gift for a trendy, bookaholic lady would be this textile bag made of a sweet, warm colour of pink canavas with purple holders. The chosen shades go with that cosy atmosphere desired by the act of reading. The pattern in the middle is framed with cotton ribbon and rainbow pompons. The immaginary , the playfulness, the flexibility, the ingenuity,  the whole universe  could be brought to your knees by books and the girl in the middle is there to claim it.

Daca ar fi sa aleg dintre creatiile mele preferate, aceasta sacosa cusuta special pentru carti  este printre cele mai dragi. Un cadou perfect pentru o domnisoara cocheta si iubitoare de carti ar putea fi aceasta sacosa textila cusuta dintr-un canavas de culoare roz cu manere mov. My favourite Zoo book / Carticica Gradina Zoologica

It was a real pleasure and I could hardly wait to conceive this recycled jeans quiet book. Thinking of something useful and customized to be offered as a unique and customized gift, I entered the competition for the Creativa Jeans Awards Bruxelles with this textile Zoo Book. The animal pattern is framed in different coloured borders for a better cognitive learning (development of attention, associative learning, memorizing) and the chosen  animals are quite familiar. This used jeans book for babies has a cover which was painted manually with 3D textile painting and it has two  wooden buttons for sensory learning.

Cand am intrat in competitia de la Creativa Jeans Bruxelles cu tematica refolosirii blugilor, m-am gandit ca o carte textila din denim uzat cu tema Gradina Zoo, ar putea deveni un cadou unicat si personalizat pentru un bebelus curios si jucaus. A fost o adevarata placere sa concep aceasta carte denim uzat. Sabloanele cu animalute sunt incadrate fiecare de catre o banda de culoare si model diferit pentru a ajuta la o mai buna invatare cognitiva (dezvoltarea atentiei, invatarea asociativa, memorizare), iar personajele alese sunt foarte cunoscute. Aceasta carte din blugi reciclati are o coperta pictata manual cu vopsea textila 3D si are cusuti doi nasturei din lemn folositori la invatarea senzoriala.

"Shades of dancing ballerinas" textile bag / Sacosa textila "Shades of dancing ballerinas"

I am so happy for this idea which came to me a couple of days ago. I was thinking of a fancy stylish bag where to put my stuff for my dancing lessons and the hours I spend in the library or bookshops. I wanted a large bag but not to look like a sack. This dancing ballerinas textile bag combines the sweetness and delicacy of pink with shades of blue. Ballerinas always make me think to a universe of perfection, fineness and ellegance. This fabric bag is a perfect outfit for every casual appearance and mood.

Sunt atat de incantata de aceasta idee care mi-a venit acum cateva zile. Ma gandeam la o sacosa textila rezistenta care sa fie stilata si sa aduca un pic de fantezie si note jucause tinutei. De fapt, imi trecea prin minte cum as putea sa car echipmentul  orelor de dans sau cartile pe care le imprumut de la biblioteca sau le cumpar de la librarie fara sa am un aer neglijent, ci din contra sic. Mi-am dorit o sacosa mare, dar care sa nu arate a sac. Aceasta sacosa textila handmade, pe care am pictat manual balerinele dansand, combina dragalasenia si delicatetea roze-ului cu nuante reci de albastru. Balerinele ne poarta spre un univers al perfectiunii, finetii si elegantei, iar aceasta traista din material textil este un outfit perfect pentru orice aparitie casual.

I really love this combination between a ditsy printed corduroy fabric and orange cotton cloth. A peculiar note is created by the rick rack burgundy ribbon which links the delicate print of the corduroy to the strong orange note of the cotton. When I sewed this sweet beauty case I thought of somebody who enjoys the delicate details of a Brandenburg braid combined with a stylish ancient Palmette print. The color combination of yellow, red and grey makes this delicate vanity bag a really nice and fashionable outfit which can be matched with a casual or a formal dressed.

"Lavender scent" is one of my favourite handmade vanity case which reminds me of the magical lavender fields of Provence. It is decorated with purple and green pompoms for a playful note and a nice contrast with the grey field. It could be used as a vanity case or a stylish textile bag for keys, cards, phone or other small items.

Parfum de lavanda este unul din portfardurile mele preferate, pentru ca imi aduce in minte imagini ale campurilor magice de lavanda din Provence, Franta. Este accesorizat cu mici pompoane de culoare verde si mov in contrast cu fondul gri. Pote fi folosit atat ca port fard sau ca o mini posetuta pentru key, carduri telefon sau alte obiecte de mici dimensiuni.

Working with fabrics of different textures and wonderful prints, it is obvious that most of the time I find myself in front of a great pile of patches. If you wonder what to do with all these left over, well, I thought of some nice fashionable  hair bows for girls and ladies. Daca lucrezi cu diferite tipuri de materiale care au si imprimeuri extraordinare, este evident ca la un moment dat te trezesti in fata unui teanc considerabil de petice si resturi pe care nu te induri sa le arunci. M-am intrebat ce as putea face cu aceste resturi textile, destul de mici  pentru un proiect mai mare. Apoi, mi-a venit ideea unei colectii de fundite de par, atasate de un elastic rezistent. Si, in scurt timp, am creat aceste accesorii de par dragute si la moda atat pentru fetite, cat si pentru doamne. Sunt ideale pentru vacanta sau pentru un look casual.

The floral pinafore dress / Sarafan cu imprimeu floral

This pinafore dress was a perfect gift for a sweet almost 4 years old girl. The floral print on this soft and thin corduroy fabric with bright details and the combination of blue, orange and green make a perfect outfit for a summer stroll in the park. This pinafore dress is also a practical wardrobe item because it can be matched with a long sleeve shirt for cooler days of late spring or early fall. For the small details, I mention that it is lined with lightweight cotton fabric and it has a zipper back closure for an easy handling.
Acest sarafan a fost o adevarata incantare pentru o fetita dragalasa de aproape 4 ani. Materialul de o foarte buna calitate este evidentiat de un print floral, cu detalii jucause si o combinatie perfecta intre albastru electric, portocaliu si verde. Toate aceste detalii si micul accesoriu tip fundita fac din acest sarafan un articol de imbracaminte perfect pentru o plimbare de vara in parc. Sarafanul, dintr-o catifea fina raiata, este practic si pentru ca poate fi combinat cu o bluzita cu maneci lungi atunci cand este folosit in zilele racoroase de primavara tarzie sau de toamna timpurie. Ca ultim detaliu, mentionez ca acest sarafan din catifea raiata a fost captusit cu tesatura subtire din bumbac si inchis la spate cu fermoar pentru a fi manevrat usor.

Comfy Wool Coat / Sacou din stofa "Comfy"

One of my favourite sewing project was a comfy wool coat for a little girl of 3 years old. The cheerful note of this check pattern fabric is emphasized by the mixture of colored squares and the owl shaped wooden button. A full line of the sewn garment ensures the kid free movement, keeping a fashionable look at the same time. For a softer and warmer sensation I sewed a lining on the reverse side, thus the coat can be worn during autumn and spring. The best feedback came from the little girl who wears this soft wool coat with great joy.

Unul dintre proiectele mele de cusut  preferate a fost aceasta jacheta comfortabila din lana  pentru o fetita de trei ani. Stofa in carouri vesele este pusa in valoare de combinatia de culori si un accesoriu irezistibil strecurat sub forma unui nasture din lemn in forma de bufnita. Cusaturile lejere ale hainutei permite copilului  sa se miste in voie si sa pastreze in acelasi timp un aspect casual elegant. Pe interiorul jachetei de stofa am cusut o captuseala care sa asigure stabilitatea materialului si sa fie mai calduros pentru a fi purtat atat toamna cat si primavara. Cel mai bun feedback l-am primit de la insasi aceasta fetita draga care poarta hainuta din stofa cu mare bucurie si mandrie.

Here's the story of this brother and sister set. G. has to play in a school theater piece: "The little match girl" and he needs to dress like centuries ago. Therefore, I sewed a pair of shorts our of flannel with suspenders and wooden buttons to match. And why not sewing a cozy skirt for his little sister? To complete a "vintage" look I crocheted the hem of the skirt with matching cotton thread. Not to mention the bow tie G. will wear during his performance. Then it can be turned into a perfect accessory for his sister's hair. The flannel is the softest and warmest woven fabric to be wear during the cold season.

Iata povestea acestui set de hainute pentru frate si sora. G. va trebui sa joace intr-o piesa de teatru la scoala : "Fetita cu chibriturile" si are nevoie de haine adaptate acelei epoci. Dintr-un finet de calitate superioara am cusut o pereche de pantaloni scurti cu bretele si nasturi de lemn. Din restul de material si o bucata de captuseala am cusut o fustita pentru S, sora lui G. Pentru un a da o nota de vechime, am crosetat tivul fustitei. Papionul pe care G. il va purta in timpul piesei, va deveni accesoriul perfect pentru parul surorii sale. Pentru sezonul rece, cea mai potrivita tesatura este acest finet moale si calduros.

"Knights and Swords" backpack / Rucsac "Cavaleri si spade"

I sewed this backpack for my nephew, as he needed one to store his sport equipment. He is crazy about Middle Age, knights and all the stories related to that period. He adored it. The fabric I used is a high quality cotton from Timeless Treasures I bought from  De Stoffen Straat in Kasterlee, Belgium. Am cusut cu drag acest rucsac pentru nepotul meu, fiindca avea nevoie de unul pentru a-si pastra echipamentul sportiv. I-a placut enorm, mai ales pentru ca e pasionat de Evul Mediu, de cavaleri si de toate povestile legate de aceasta perioada istorica. The cold weather is already here, so a pair of cosy little felt shoes for your baby is a must. These shoes are entirely hand sewn for a special little girl - A.
